Today's discussion for our topic was all about how the environment of New Zealand shapes our identity as New Zealanders. It effects the things we do such as swimming at the beach, lakes and rivers or tramping in our native bush. It also effects how we behave, like our friendly nature or our adventurous give anything a go attitude.
How do you think it effects you and makes you Kiwi?
Is there anything that is part of your identity that is a result of you living in New Zealand? It could be things that you family likes to do?
Well what makes us New Zealanders is that we are out-going people, friendly, we have a different language that is not common to other countries around the world. We have indeginous people scattered everywhere, we have a ski resort in Cadrona, our landscape is beautiful cause we look after our land propley. In other countries, they can't even see or travel to the sea, because its too big. Over here, you can travel for 10 minutes and then you see the sea, depending on where you live.
ReplyDeleteI just read the two links that Mrs C and Mrs dG put up for our IDENTITY homework. It's very useful and interesting information about the history in NZ. I also learnt some things I never knew about NZ before, as a country.

Some people look after the land Moli not everyone. We are just lucky that we don't have too many people living in New Zealand because then it might be more of a mess than it is.
ReplyDeleteI am really pleased you looked at the links Moli and found them use full. Well done!
Thanks for recommending them to others. Let me know if you find any other good ones to add.
OK Mrs C!!! :)
DeleteI also have gave it a second thought, and I DO agree with you Mrs C. SOME people look after our land, but some litter and really don't care. I'll try and find some links ASAP!!
